Sharon Ngai: Founder
As our Executive Director, Sharon has been fighting sex slavery since 2007. Speaking at conferences and workshops from college campuses and the United Nations, her passion to end human trafficking and raise up a generation of Justice Champions has had immeasurable impact. A University of Southern California and Fuller Seminary graduate, Sharon and her husband, Jonathan Ngai, also founded Radiance International Hollywood House of Prayer where they are impacting an emerging generation of artists.
Daniela Zarate: Education & Outreach
As an educator, Daniela is passionate about the youth and empowering them to become the world-changers and reformers of their generation. She believes in promoting justice through education and connecting it back to to the heart of God. She has been involved with Justice Speaks since 2013 helping with the local outreach nights in Los Angeles, annual mission trips to Thailand and lastly, prayer for the ending of sex trafficking at Radiance Intl. Now, her role is overseeing the outreach and education departments of Justice Speaks. She is excited to continue using her gifts and calling to see people set free!
Maya De Pasion: Administration
As a graduate from UC Berkeley, Maya’s heart for justice was cultivated within the Berkeley atmosphere of activism. Maya desires to give a voice to those who have been silenced by oppression and society's nescience. Her work with women and children has fueled her passion to see lives radically restored by love, transformed by grace, and empowered to change the world. Maya is the lead administrator at Justice Speaks and she is excited to step in and take part in this fight against human trafficking.
Cindy Ellison: Volunteer
Cindy is motivated to bring awareness to college campuses on the fight against human trafficking. She is a currently studying Intercultural Studies at Vanguard University of Southern California. Not only is her passion to bring restoration to the oppressed, but to bring prevention for those at risk of sexual exploitation. Since becoming a part of Justice Speaks, Cindy has come alongside to help in local outreaches in Los Angeles and has joined the team twice to Thailand. Cindy's desire is not only to see the end of human trafficking, but to one day create an environment where the victims of sexual exploitation can come and feel safe to share their stories and receive healing.
Leah Joanino
Leah has been involved with Justice Speaks since 2013 and has worked against human trafficking locally and internationally. She speaks at different events spreading awareness and is actively doing fieldwork in LA and Thailand. As a graduate from UC Irvine in performing arts, one of her passions is using her artistry to promote justice. She believes in the power of prayer and she desires to see women and children set free and empowered to live out their dreams and destinies.
Jaimie Mijin: Arts & Media
A social entrepreneur who desires to use her creative platform to inspire others. Jaimie has been fighting sex trafficking since her first mission trip to Thailand in 2010, where she worked closely with orphans and at risk youth. She is also the founder of a clothing company called LIV x JAW with a mission to use fashion as a voice for justice! Jaimie graduated from UCSD with a degree in International Studies and Development and since then, has traveled the world connecting with many different organizations. She is honored to be on the Justice Speaks team as the creative director!
Ana Alvarez: Education
A recent USC graduate, Ana is passionate about International Human Rights and advocates for the poor and the oppressed. She has traveled to over 25 nations and has been greatly impacted by injustices that exist worldwide. One of her many passions is to see women empowered to live out their purpose without fear or restraint. Ana believes in the power of education to affect social change and as such, is overseeing the research department for Justice Speaks. She is also the editor-in-chief for our blog.
